Saiyed ul-Ambiyaa Mohammad Rasoolullaah (saws) said that, "Man Sabara Zafara" means "One who is Patient is Successful."
 

By the Karam and Rehmat of Allaah, the divine saaya-e-hidaayat of Imaam uz-Zamaan (as) and the Du’a mubaarak of Huzoor-e-‘Aali (tus), we –  the mohibbaan and aashiqaan of Ahlul Bayt (as) have been showered with the choicest blessings of Allaah in the form of the wealth of Educational, Entrepreneur and Professional skills.  On the occasion of Urs mubaarak of Saiyedna Nooruddin Saheb (aq) in Surat in 1429 AH, Huzoor-e-‘Aali (tus) addressed to the mumineen and said that our young brains

are gradually shifting their future pursuits from their family business to the higher education and high profile jobs in India and Abroad. It is not uncommon to find a son or daughter opting for their future prospects in Abroad in every house. Parental encouragement and familial support have injected a new spirit in them to fly off to distant places for higher education or jobs all over the globe. Owing to their loyalty and sincerity, some of our mumineen have succeeded in getting high profile jobs in some famous companies, firms and institutes.
   
 

Very often, the Alavi Shabaab (youth) succeed in their academics or career with the flying colors. Owing to lack of any common medium, their achievements and accolades are not highlighted in our Jamaa’at so that they get encouragement and simultaneously they could set an example for others. But with the grace of Allaah, since last 5 years we have launched our website which has served a medium of communication for all of us in India and Abroad. By the farmaan of Saiyedna saheb (tus), we want to highlight the academic and professional qualifications as well as some special outstanding performance of our mumineen here and in the monthly “Mishkaat ul-Haadi” Newsletter under this banner of “Our Shining Stars”. Our best wishes and Du’a of success for our stars and their achievement would sure make us feel proud.

Entries of the students who excel in their school or college exams will also be accepted in this option. Insha-allaah with the co-operation and feedback of the mumineen, our efforts in this direction will see the light of the day. We request to the mumineen to post their entries with the following requirements as early as possible, either by sending e-mail or personally submitting the details.

  Sister, Zainab Haashimali Vohra (Nadiadwala), studying in the Faculty of Arts, MSU, has been awarded Gold Medal in Economics for her outstanding academic performance for the year 2019-20.

Sister Lokhandwala Alefiyah Shamsuddin, studied in MS University, Vadodara and did her "Interior Designing" from the Faculty of Family and Community Sciences, has submitted her research paper entitled "Environmental Concern: A facilitator for practicing Sustainable Interior Design" (Page no.36-42) which got selected for the publication in an International Journal.  In the past her research paper titled "Indoor Environment Quality: A crucial aspect in designing Sustainable Interiors" got published in the International journal of Interior Designing.  This is truly a great success and a pure result of hard work and determination.

In February 2021, two of her research/literary works titled 1. CORRUGATION : A TALE OF RIDGES AND GROOVES & 2. SUSTAINABLE INTERIORS : THE NEED OF TIME, got copyrighted and one of them got public attention and was published in newspaper. This is indeed a great achievement. Media Report

   

 

Sister Sakina Taalib Husain Lokhandwala, has completed CS (Company Secretaries) conducted by ICSI, New Delhi, in Dec 2017.  It is a mark of pride that our students and getting such distinction due the hard work and sincere efforts.

She says, “It was a big challenge. But with the Du'aa of Aqaa Maulaa and support of family and friends, I was able to achieve this goal with continuous hard work and determination. I want to advice students to remain focused on the target.”

Sister Saaniyah Abbaasali Maskati (Dabhoiwala), has achieved a great success by clearing CA (final) in November 2017 from Mumbai. 

She says, “Be Confident, believe and have faith in Allaah, your parents and yourself. Be firm in what you want to do and don't let any pressure come in your way of success and future plans. Keep trying and this will become a key to your progress.”

Sister Masarrat Mehboobbhai Surti, studying in Faculty of Commerce, MS University, Vadodara, has topped in M Comm (final) in Accounting and Financial Management in the exams held on April 2017. She has secured 80.18 % marks and has got the distinction of achieving Chancellor’s Gold Medal on the hands of the President of India, Honorable Ram Nath Kovind.  She expresses her gratitude for her success to her parents, faculty members and well wishers. 

She says, “It feels good to receive the Medals but more important is to see happiness and pride for me on my family and near ones’ faces.”

  Brother Abbasali Hamiduddin Bhaisaheb, has achieved a great feat by clearing CA (final) in November 2017 from Vadodara.  Among the successful candidate he was the only Muslim student to clear this highly sought-after and most difficult exam.  He intends to help CA, CWA, CS students by coaching them in subjects like Taxation and Audit with the motto of “Direction is more important than speed”.

Brother Aliasghar Abbasi Dabhoiwala, has published a research paper in IJAET(International Journal of Advances in Engineering & Technology). This paper is titled as "Impact of Variable Frequency Drives on Electrical Systems". IJAET, a research platform is a preferred destination for conference organizers, engineers, researchers & academicians; where they come together to issue & receive resources that helps to develop something to cater the needs of society. It is USA based journal of Engineering for the presentation & publication of contemporary research.

This research paper has secured 12th position among 100 scholars research papers at this international platform. It is rare for the papers to get selected & published into this journal. Till now more than 4 of his research papers has been published at National as well as at International level.

Message for the future engineers: "Be more efficient with your time & focus on what is needed for you to understand. Never stop learning & always aim to create something from that gained knowledge to serve the society".

Sister Lokhandwala Alefiyah Shamsuddin, has achieved 3 gold medals from MS University in January 2016 under the Graduation program of "Interior Designing" from the Faculty of Family and Community Sciences previously known as “Home Science”.  She had consistently topped in all the three years under graduation.  And she is now pursuing the PG program in the same faculty.  She says that, “She completely owe her achievement to her parents who have been her back bone and inspiration throughout her studies.   Without their constant help, support, encouragement and their confidence in her it would not be possible for her to get such an honour and success.”

   

 

Brother Habilali Fidaali Tinwala studying in Std. 5 (Vidyani Vidhyalay, Navrachna) participated in 20th International UCMAS Abacus & Mental Arithmetic Competition held at New Delhi on 5/12/2015, stood 2nd Runners Up and was awarded with Merit Certificate in 14th National Competition held simultaneously.

     
 

Brother Aarizali Abbasali Vohra (Rajpiplawala) participated in 20th International UCMAS Abacus & Mental Arithmetic Competition held at New Delhi on 5/12/2015, got 3rd Rank in D category.

     
 
Sister Zainab Hamiduddin Bhaisaheb achieved a notable distinction by getting a Gold Medal in the post graduation of LLB (Faculty of Law, MSU, Baroda) on 6/2/2015.  She has made us feel proud as this achievement is the first of its kind in our jamaa'at.  We congratulate her and hope for the best for her career in Judiciary.
     
 

Haddsaheb Ahmadalibhai “Alavi” who is closely associated with Mishkaat ul-Haadi Akhbaar since many years has secured 2nd rank among 70 candidates in Essay Competition held by “Seva-Tirth” association.  Seva-Tirth operates from Tarsali, Vadodara, and helps people fight against the Leprosy and conducts programs for awareness and rehabilitation.  

     
 

Sister Bhaisaheb Faatemah Idreesbhai has secured 2nd position in Elocution Competition  held at Vadodara Railway Station on 03/10/2014, conducted by WESTERN RAILWAY STATE BHARAT SCUOTS & GUIDES under the aegis of Swachch Bharat Abhiyan initiated by the PM Mr. Narendra Modi.  She is a Student of 9th Std., Zenith School, Vadodara.  May Allaah Ta’aala grace our students with Wisdom and Intelligence.

Brother Ayaanali Ahmadali Chashmawala studying in Navrachana Vidyani Vidyalaya has participated and passed in the International Standard of UCMAS ABACUS COMPUTATION (ZHUSUAN) Proficiency Examination held April 2013.

     
 

Brother Hatimali Asgarali Dholkawala studying HSC Commerce, Zenith School stood 4th amongst 80 successful candidates and got highest 95% marks in Organization of Commerce in the Exams held in March 2014.  His efforts and mental acumen contributed to his success.

     
 

Sister Maimanah Nuruddinbhai Jariwala was awarded Certificate of Merit along with Gold Medal in Ahmedabad for standing 1st among the students of all over Gujarat in Master of Business Administration in International Business Examination held in Aug 2013 by Gujarat Technological University

Her message: MBA IBM - As we all know that with globalization and increasing competition from MNC's and foreign competitors, all MBA's today must be exposed to the global environment. Even domestic companies will insist on MBA's having knowledge on the International Business scenario. MBA IBM focuses on strategic planning for international operations and provides an in-depth understanding of the organizational capabilities which is must for international operations. i.e. International Marketing, International Finance and International Human resource management.

Therefore, I consider it as an attractive career option for the youths because of the interesting career opportunities it offers. So for youth who want to explore various countries can opt for this post graduate degree.

   

 

Brother Hasnain Sho'ebali Murmurwala did Civil Engineering and now working with L&T - Vadodara Facility. He was awarded as 'ICON Award' for Sulphur Storage Building which is world's one of the biggest structure, made for storage of 1.65 Lac MTon capacaity. This is one of world's biggest storage structure which was designed with special techniques used first time at L&T.

His message: "Civil Engineering" is the original engineering field, In which we use our analytical abilities and knowledge of the physical world to design and figure out how to build things.  We face the challenge of designing structures that resist extreme wind, earthquakes, blast, temperature and others...!  Today this field has evolved with demanding times of Building Innovations and I therefore appeal to my community's Engineer brothers to explore new things for getting the best of their career.

   

 

Sister Zainab Ibraahimbhai Bhaisaheb working in Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Vadodara for Client Instructions – Russia Process. During the span of less than a year in TCS , she has been awarded with 5 awards and among them the most prestigious is “Nielsen Gold Award” for Excellent Contribution in Global Operations – Europe received in month of Nov 2013 from Xavier Sagelle – Delivery Head of Europe and Bertrand Raymond – BPO Head (Europe).

Her message: There is a saying, “Nothing is impossible… it only holds true when you blend constant efforts with belief of success in yourself.”  During my short tenure at TCS, I always pushed hard for results. There was no benchmark for any achievement. Whenever I achieved, I treated it as benchmark and kept trying and trying to see a new goal being set. I love competition but only with myself. That’s what motivates me and this was one of the main reasons why I always felt confident.  I would only like to say that, Never lose hope. Believe in Allaah and His bounties. Keep trying. One day you will succeed, as it’s a known fact that, He will surely give you return for what efforts you have put into your work.

“Atlast, I would like to quote an inspirational slogan, “Mehnat itni Khamoshi se karo…. Ki Kamyaabi SHOR machaa de”.

   

 

Brother Finhaasali Mulla Husainali Chinwala was awarded as 'Best Faculty' among the staff of about 110 faculties in the Sigma Institute of Engineering on 5/9/2013 when Teacher's day celebrations were held. They have considered factors like teaching, experience, student's review, explanation, regularity, sincerity etc.

His message: Engineering is a vast field and mumineen should encourage their children to opt for this as today Engineers are required at every level of any industrial setup and development.  Education in engineering makes up a mind for practicality, spontaneity, tendency of problem solving and facing untimely challenges.

   

 

Sister Yasmin Abbasi Barodawala did her Masters (M Comm) from SNDT Women’s University 2012-13 (affiliated to Mumbai University). In every semester she ranked 1st and passed M Comm by securing 84.50%.  She not only ranked first in the college affiliated to SNDT at Baroda but she have topped at the University level  too means all OVER INDIA i.e. she  became the GOLD MEDALIST by achieving the highest rank among all these students at national level.

Her message:  All housewives and young females should know that once you decide to do something, never get discouraged and never think you are alone. There may be times , when People around may not support you (for whatever reason), but if you think you need to do something , then you should not stop yourself and always keep in mind that if there is nobody  with you, Allaah is with you. If you pray to Allaah and take waseelah of our Du’aat with all your heart , he will surely help you. My achievement is like a True Grace of Allaah – backed with commitment and conviction.

I did my B Comm in 1999 and got married having 2 children.  Being housewife I never thought of studying again as, – “After marriage all my priorities changed and learning became the last thing on the menu.”  But one fine day in 2011 something within me inspired me and I decided to continue my studies. YES, it was a big gap of 12 years, since I had left studies.  Thereafter all things went smoothly and now I am serving as LECTURER in my college itself (SNDT- Akota) and teaching Accounts ( all papers) to the students of TYBComm  as well as M Comm.

Education is a weapon in our hand that will fetch us courage, wisdom and independence. We females are fond of jewellery, especially Gold ornaments. And it is a known fact that all these are material things and may be lost or taken away from you, but I believe education is also one kind of valuable jewel which once acquired, nobody can steal it from you and you can reap its benefits not only in your life but you can pass its legacy to your next generations to come.

   

 

Sister Amreen Zain ul-Aabedeen Barodawala studying in II-C at Bright Day School, Vadodara (CBSE Unit) has been declared the Ideal Student of the Year 2012-13.

Brother Zulfiqaar Sho'ebali Vhora of Electrical Engineering Division has been authorized to use the title and style of Chartered Engineer [INDIA] awarded by the Institute of Engineers (India) on 17/12/2012.  This thing is not so often thought of by our students doing Engineering.   It is the same concept as in Accountancy.  To his credit he has a Patent registered under “AUTOMATIC CONTROL DESIGN FOR INDUSTRIAL SECURITY” in 2008.

His Message: Chartered Engineer - CE can audit and decide the value of Assets like (Electrical Infrastructure, Mechanical Machine, Civil Infrastructure etc.).  CE can certify the Depreciation value of the assets so that CA can account that respectively.  For Import/Export of any machine it must be audited by CE so that Govt. can charge duties accordingly.  It is awarded by IEI (Institution of Engineers) incorporated by Royal Charter 1935.  After Engineering Graduation you may start from Associate Member Technologist - AMTIE directly. After Diploma you may start from Senior Technician - ST and after masters you may start from Member Technologist - MTIE.  It will be my immense pleasure to serve our Jama’at with my services, skills, knowledge & whatever I can.

   

 

Sister Farah Abbasali Umallawala has become Chartered Accountant - CA by passing the final examination held in Nov 2012 by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Du'aa-e-khayr and best wishes for her success and bright career.

Her Views: I find myself fortunate to have adhered to my roots by listening to Bayaan and reading Deeni Newsletter regularly.  Knowing ones actions, faith and community helps in developing personality in many ways.  Sometimes what you want is not always what you get.  But at the end, what you have got is much better than what you needed.  Trust life, its beautiful always with beautiful company of your creator, Allaah Ta’aala.

   

  Brother Idris Najmuddin Tinwala studying in1st grade in Cory Elementary school in Denver, Colorado, USA, got a certificate for his outstanding achievement in academics and attitude. He was honored at the Denver University and was one of 6 students out of 76 to receive this from his school. We encourage you to work hard, act with integrity, and pursue excellence in everything.
     
  Sister Eleiya Onali Kagdi studying in MSU Baroda has been awarded 3 Gold Medals for her excellence in M. Comm. (Accounting & Financial Management) in the examination held in March 2012. Her success story is a result of tremendous support from her parents, teachers and her positive attitude to achieve her goals in hard circumstances. She stood 1st amongst 367 candidates of her faculty.

Her Views: I am proud to be Alavi Bohra and by the du’aa of my Maulaa that, I have received inspiration from many grateful persons and it was my aim right from joining F.Y.B.comm. to study hard and pave the way of getting a Gold Medal.  My parents were always motivating me to achieve my goal and in making me independent and earn a better livelihood.  I would suggest all parents to educate their children and also involve them in extra co-curricular activities and make them responsible to their community and nation.  I know that there will be many obstacles which we have to face in our life in order to build our career but we have to face these struggles strongly as our life cannot be lived without struggles.  My aim is to help financially needy people in getting proper education to the extent possible, so that others don’t face financial problems as I have faced it. As I know that, “Knowledge leads to Inner Power and that leads to Confidence and with Confidence you can achieve great heights of success in your Life.”
   

  Sister Shahnaz Talibbhai Marchawala studying in MSU Baroda has been awarded Gold Medal for her excellence in M. Comm. (Business Administration) in the examination held in March 2012. This distinguished achievement is based on her hard work and dedication.
   

  Brother Zishanali Badruddin Khaskhaswala studying in MSU Baroda has been awarded 2 Gold Medals for his excellence in B. Sc. (Physics) in the examination held in March 2012. This distinguished achievement is based on the fact that he not only got highest marks in Physics and also got 1st rank in his entire batch.

His Views: Getting Gold Medal is not the end but it's just the beginning to convert knowledge into practice. I am sure that, With the support of my family I will get many more such things in future & make my family and Alavi Society proud.  What I want to say to the students like me that, "Take up one idea. Make that idea your life and constantly think of it, live on that idea. Let the whole of your body, be full of that idea, and just leave every other idea aside. This is the way you will lead yourself to Fruitful Result.  Act, act and only act with clear vision and heart, and you can see your goal approaching you with success."
   

 

Brother Ahmadali Mulla Fidaali Durgawala studying in MSU Baroda has been awarded a Gold Medal for his excellence in B. E. (Computer Science) in the examination held in March 2012. He got this achievement by getting 1st rank in his entire batch.

His Views: Our Students are under a wrong impression that taking Science subjects after SSC requires a lot of hard work and consumes much time with heavy competition and problems in getting admission in desired institutions or faculty. So Very few pursue it. The Catch is that smart work, along with proper planning can lead to desired success faster than any other occupation in the present day.

   

  A cute baby, Aadilali, son of Ali Asgharbhai and Tarannumbu Bakrolwala, is probably the first child of 8 months from our jamaa'at to went along with his parents to Hajj-e-Baytullaah. As shari'at permits only the abults who have given bay'at to Imaam uz-Zamaan (as) to perform the duty of Hajj, we are glad that he did Deedar of Ka'batullaah and took barakaat of Maqaamaat-e-Muqaddasah and we sincerely offer mubaarak-baadi to all his family members.
     
  Sister Sofiya Ibraahim Vasanwala studying in MSU Baroda has been awarded Gold Medal for her excellence in B. Sc. (Physics). This distinguished achievement is first of its kind from our Jamaa'at.
     
  Brother Fakhruddin Shamsheer Ali Barodawala is a Full time Junior lecturer at The Lotus College of Optometry (Juhu, Mumbai). In 2011, he has graduated in Optometry from the same college, where he was awarded Gold Medal for academic excellence in the subject of Optometric Instrumentation and Dispensing Optics. He is the first student to be awarded scholarship of Dr. Kankaria's Cash Award of Rs. 25,000/-. He also took part in Poster Presentation at Asia Pacific Optometry Conference at Singapore in November 2011.
     
  Sister Asma Fidaaali Attarwala was invited for a 3 day seminar on LINGUISTIC AND LANGUAGE DEVELOPMENT IN JAMMU AND KASHMIR WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO TRIBAL LANGUAGES organized by Deptt. of Linguistics (University of Kashmir) on 14-16 November 2011. She presented a paper on “ALAVI BOHRA LANGUAGE: LANGUAGES IN CONTACT”. Her paper was regarded as the best presentation and subject matter.
     
  Sister Sherina Altaf Kachwala was awarded with prize money and Appreciation Certificate for getting 1st position in Industrial Defined Problem (IDP). She prepared a presentation about making Flyash Brick from the wastes of the gardens in Assam. A programme of Innovation-2011 was held on 16 Nov 2011 at Parul Institute of Technology.
     
  Brother Kaizarali Haiderali Bookbinder is MBA (Finance) with Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management, has passed Global Programme in Business Leadership (Finance Specialization) in March 2011, through TASMAC (Pune) affiliated with University of Wales, London with First Class.
     
  Brother Ameer Hamzah Shamsuddin Kagdi studying in FYBComm in T J Patel Commerce College (Nadiad) has participated in Book Review Competition and coined 2nd Rank held in March 2011.  We wish the glittering success and bright future.
     
  Shahzada Bhaisaheb Sa'eed ul-Khayr Saiyedi Haatim Zakiyuddin saheb (dm) studying in Rosary High School (Baroda) has passed HSC Examination (General stream) with outstanding talent and excellent performance held in March 2011 by Gujarat Board. He got distinction with 85% marks (grade A2) and topped the entire batch of his school. Among all the Alavi students who have appeared for HSC exams this year from different schools, he has secured the top rank. With his success we are proud that being the son of our Mazoon Maulaa, he will lead our young generation with the goal of education, honesty, learning and talent.
